Jack French
Jack French, a former Navy officer and retired FBI Agent, had been researching and writing about the Golden Age of Radio for over three decades. Dozens of his articles appear on various web sites and he has written two books. Private Eyelashes: Radio’s Lady Detectives (Bear Manor Media, 2004, 2nd Ed. 2009) won the Agatha Award for Best Non-Fiction. His second book, written with the late David Siegel, Radio Rides the Range (McFarland Publishers, 2014) is an encyclopedia of every Western show aired on radio.
A long-time resident of Virginia, Jack lectured on a host of various topics, including old-time radio, Civil War Heroines, the Lindbergh Kidnapping, and early women aviators until his death in April of 2023.
