FBIOGRAPHY originated in July 2019. After a period of research and design, it was launched on July 26, 2020 to coincide with the 112th anniversary of the founding of a small unnamed investigative force within the United States Department of Justice on July 26, 1908. The investigative force went through changes in name before it became known as the Federal Bureau of Investigation on July 1, 1935.
This website was developed by a former high-ranking public relations manager and Acting Historian at the Federal Bureau of Investigation at its Headquarters in Washington, D.C. It is privately owned and managed and not connected to the FBI. The name FBIOGRAPHY has a Notice of Allowance for a Trademark, and the website Internet name and address are registered with ICANN (the organization that records and manages domain names).
The name FBIOGRAPHY is a combination of FBI and BIOGRAPHY. The website seeks to present a focused biography of the FBI as an organization in the literary world and entertainment media. It does not cover news and current events about the FBI.
